Many interesting and intelligent people arrived and I had a good old laugh with lots to learn.
While have an interesting discussions I explored out the power of social media and how companies can harness this swiss knife to boost up there sales while providing social(human) touch to their customer service. Though most of the companies in (India) have yet to explore this tool, but I had observed some businesses are using it BUT as a "Yet another tool for marketing".
Businesses have to realize that if they use a social tools for marketing then they have to do it socially (Humanly) NOT as marketing pitch of their productS. For example Time of India use twitter but they don't interact with their followers.
The whole purpose of social tool is to socialize, if one does not wants to be social then don't use it.
In this 21st century consumers are far more intelligent to differentiate between sales pitch and normal interaction. If business wishes to know its clients and earn reputation while having sales then it needs to do it right way for example by knowing its clients and interacting with it clients socially.
While we were having a laugh in tweetup I learnt a whole new prospective about how new generation of India interacts and what they expect from the business who are trying to sell their products to them.
My point of view for Businesses : For sales and business loyalty, its not about how many you sell rather its about how you sell and engage with your customers. The more human you are the more profitable you will be
